Spicy Kimchi Mary
A spicy variation of the classic Bloody Mary, the Kimchi Mary gets its unique heat and flavor from pureed kimchi and Sriracha chile sauce.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup kimchi
- 6 oz tomato juice
- 1 tbsp Sriracha chile sauce
- 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tbsp sherry vinegar
- Salt
- Freshly ground pepper
- 2 oz vodka
- Ice
- Mint sprigs or shiso leaves, for garnish
Instructions
- Puree the kimchi with the tomato juice, Sriracha, Worcestershire, and vinegar.
- Strain the kimchi puree through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl, pressing gently to extract the juice.
- Discard or reserve the leftover solids.
- Chill the kimchi-Mary mix thoroughly.
- Season the mix with salt and pepper, then stir in the vodka.
- Serve the cocktail over ice, and garnish with mint sprigs or shiso leaves.
