Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 2 oz. dark rum
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • Cinnamon stick (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the room temperature butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  2. Use an electric hand mixer to beat the mixture until well combined, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed.
  3. Use immediately or store the batter in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to assemble the cocktails.
  4. To make one cocktail, add 2 tablespoons of the spice batter to a mug.
  5. Pour in 2 oz of dark rum and top with 3/4 cup hot water.
  6. Stir the mixture until combined.
  7. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and serve immediately.
