Ingredients
- 12 ounces pale ale
- 1 cup apple cider
- 2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
- Zest from 1 lemon
- Juice from 2 lemons
- 1/4-inch piece peeled ginger root, sliced
- 3 allspice berries
- 2 whole cloves
- 1/2 cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Combine the ale, cider, brown sugar, lemon zest and juice, ginger, allspice, cloves, and cinnamon stick in a large pot over low heat.
- Stir occasionally and heat for about 30 minutes, ensuring the mixture does not boil.
- Strain the mixture, discarding the solids.
- Divide the warm beverage into mugs and serve, optionally garnishing with a cinnamon stick.
