Ingredients

  • 1 oz Mezcal
  • 1 oz Fernet Branca
  • 1 oz Pineapple juice
  • 1/3 oz Agave syrup (or substitute with simple syrup)
  • 1/2 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • Angostura bitters

Instructions

  1. If desired, prepare the garnish by sprinkling a teaspoon of sugar and 3-4 dashes of Angostura Bitters on a thick lemon slice. Use a kitchen torch to melt and caramelize the sugar, allowing it to spread out into a disc. Let it cool and then peel off the lemon.
  2. In a shaker, combine all the liquid ingredients.
  3. Add ice to the shaker and shake until the mixture becomes frosty cold.
  4. Strain the cocktail into a pre-chilled cocktail glass.
  5. Garnish the glass with the prepared lemon disc.
  6. Enjoy responsibly.
