  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 3-4 maraschino cherries with stems
  • 2 tbsp Cool Whip or canned whipped cream

  1. Begin by freezing the root beer in a container with a lid until it achieves a slushy consistency, which typically takes around 2 1/2 hours or more.
  2. Chill the serving mugs by filling them with ice and cold water, then placing them in the freezer for 5-7 minutes. Once frosted, empty the mugs and keep them in the freezer until needed.
