Ingredients
- 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 3/8 cup brewed black iced tea, cooled
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons dark rum
- 2 tablespoons light rum
- Mint leaves to garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine raspberries, water, and sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
- Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook until the syrup turns deep red and the berries are soft, about 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let the syrup cool. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer, pressing to extract the liquid. Discard the raspberries.
- In a glass, combine the brewed tea, raspberry syrup, lemon juice, both rums, and ice. Stir to mix all the ingredients and allow the ice to start melting.
- Pour into an ice-filled glass and garnish with a straw and mint leaves.
