Ingredients
- 2 oz Tequila (blanco or añejo, or gin or vodka)
- 2 oz Cranberry juice
- 1 oz Lime juice (fresh squeezed)
- 1/2 oz Cointreau (or triple sec)
- 1-2 Mint leaves (Fresh)
- 1/2 oz Simple syrup
- 1 tsp Kosher salt (for the rim)
- Sugared cranberries (for garnish)
Instructions
- Optional: To make sugared cranberries, coat fresh cranberries in simple syrup, then roll them in dry cane sugar and let them dry.
- Use a lime wedge to rub the rim of the glass, then dip it in kosher salt to coat the rim.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice.
- Measure the tequila, cranberry juice, cointreau, simple syrup, and pick a few mint leaves.
- In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine the lime juice, tequila, cranberry juice, cointreau, simple syrup, and mint leaves.
- Close the shaker and shake vigorously for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Add ice to the rimmed glass.
- Strain the cocktail into the glass.
- Optionally, top off with seltzer water or champagne.
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a few sugared cranberries.
- Serve cold and enjoy!
