Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit wedge
  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • 0.50 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon hibiscus simple syrup
  • 2 oz white tequila
  • 0.25 cup club soda
  • Kosher salt for garnish
  • 0.50 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a small pot, then remove from heat and steep hibiscus flowers for 5 minutes. Strain out the flowers.
  2. Return the pot to the stove, add sugar, and heat until dissolved. Allow to cool before using.
  3. Rub the rim of a highball glass with a grapefruit or lime wedge and dip the rim in salt.
  4. Combine grapefruit juice, lime juice, and hibiscus simple syrup in the glass and stir.
  5. Stir in tequila, add ice, and top off with club soda. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
