Ingredients
- 1 cup grapefruit juice
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 heaping tablespoon food grade dried Lavender Flowers
- 1 1/2 ounces vodka
- 1 ounce grapefruit lavender syrup
- 4 ounces prosecco
- 2 dashes of orange bitters
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine grapefruit juice, sugar, and dried lavender flowers over low heat.
- Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved and allow the mixture to simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until it reduces considerably.
- Remove from heat, let it cool, and then fine strain the syrup before bottling and refrigerating. It should keep for about 2 weeks.
- In a mixing glass, combine the vodka and grapefruit lavender syrup, and stir to combine.
- Fill a glass with crushed ice and pour in about 4 oz of prosecco.
- Add the combined vodka and syrup, and top off with a small splash of prosecco and a few dashes of orange bitters.
- Garnish with sliced citrus and fresh thyme.
