Ingredients
- 1 egg, separated
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3/4 cup thickened cream
- 2 tbsp Bourbon
- 1 1/2 tbsp dark rum
- 1 tbsp brandy
- Pinch of mixed spice
- To serve: finely grated nutmeg
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks with sugar until pale and thick (4-6 minutes).
- Add the milk and 1/2 cup cream to the egg mixture and whisk to combine.
- Pour in the Bourbon, rum, brandy, and mixed spice. Whisk until well combined.
- Refrigerate the mixture for at least 5 hours or overnight.
- In an electric mixer, whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form (2-3 minutes).
- Gently fold the milk mixture into the egg whites.
- In the same mixer, whisk the remaining cream until soft peaks form. Fold it into the egg and milk mixture.
- Serve the cocktail sprinkled with nutmeg.
