- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup whole milk
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons brandy (optional)
- Whipped topping (for garnish)

Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until light and fluffy.
- In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Bring to a gentle boil.
- Slowly add the hot milk mixture to the egg mixture, whisking constantly to incorporate.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat until slightly thickened, stirring constantly.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, whisk in the heavy cream, vanilla, and brandy (if using).
- Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
