Ingredients

  • 1 large Nellie's Free Range egg
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • Freshly grated nutmeg, to serve

  1. Separate the egg, placing the yolk in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk the yolk with sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir in the milk, cream, and bourbon until well combined.
  4. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for at least an hour.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg white until stiff peaks form.
