  • 1 egg (separated into yolk and white)
  • 2 tablespoons superfine sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/3 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg, plus extra for garnish
  • 1/3 cup brandy
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the egg yolk and gradually add 2 tablespoons of sugar, mixing until dissolved. Incorporate the vanilla extract, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt, stirring until the mixture becomes thick and pale yellow.
  2. Slowly blend in the brandy, followed by the milk and heavy cream.
