Ingredients
- 4 oz Spanish Rioja (or another dry light-bodied red wine)
- 1 oz brandy (apple brandy can be used)
- 1 oz cranberry juice
- 1 oz simple syrup
- 1 orange slice
- 1 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/4 teaspoon whole peppercorns (in a sachet)
Instructions
- In a Crock-Pot 4-Qt Digital Slow Cooker, combine the wine, brandy, cranberry juice, simple syrup, orange slice, cranberries, cinnamon stick, and whole peppercorns.
- Stir to combine the ingredients.
- Set the temperature to high and cook the sangria for one hour.
- Lower the temperature to keep it warm for up to 5 hours.
- Serve in an insulated mug and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
