Ingredients

  • 4 oz Spanish Rioja (or another dry light-bodied red wine)
  • 1 oz brandy (apple brandy can be used)
  • 1 oz cranberry juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1 orange slice
  • 1 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 teaspoon whole peppercorns (in a sachet)

Instructions

  1. In a Crock-Pot 4-Qt Digital Slow Cooker, combine the wine, brandy, cranberry juice, simple syrup, orange slice, cranberries, cinnamon stick, and whole peppercorns.
  2. Stir to combine the ingredients.
  3. Set the temperature to high and cook the sangria for one hour.
  4. Lower the temperature to keep it warm for up to 5 hours.
  5. Serve in an insulated mug and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
