The cocktail was crafted by Tyler Akin, a Wilmington native and partner in the hotel's new restaurant, Le Cavalier at the Green Room. Elegant Sherry Cognac Delight
A refined and sophisticated cocktail featuring V.S.O.P. Cognac, fino sherry, and a dash of Angostura bitters, the Hotel du Pont Cocktail is a tribute to elegance and tradition.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz V.S.O.P. Cognac, preferably Guillon Painturaud
- 1 1/2 oz fino sherry, preferably Alvear
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- Ice cubes
- Orange twist, for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing glass half-filled with ice, combine the V.S.O.P. Cognac, fino sherry, and a dash of Angostura bitters.
- Stir the mixture until chilled, approximately 15 seconds.
- Strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe glass.
- Squeeze the orange twist over the drink and drop it into the glass as a garnish.
