Ingredients

  • 3/4 oz Vieux Pontarlier absinthe
  • 1/2 oz Branca Menta
  • 1/2 oz coffee liqueur
  • 1 1/2 oz espresso (or 1 1/2 oz cold-brew coffee concentrate)
  • 1 barspoon demerara sugar
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • Pinch of coarse sea salt
  • 1 orange twist
  • Garnish: mint sprig

Instructions

  1. Combine Vieux Pontarlier absinthe, Branca Menta, coffee liqueur, espresso (or cold-brew concentrate), demerara sugar, Angostura bitters, and sea salt in a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake the mixture until well-chilled.
  3. Double-strain the cocktail into a Nick & Nora glass.
  4. Express the oil from an orange twist over the glass and discard the twist.
  5. Garnish with a mint sprig.
