- 3/4 oz sugar
- 1 cup water
- 5 oz red wine (I used a red blend)
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/4 oz cranberry syrup

Instructions
- In a small pot over medium heat, combine cranberries, sugar, and water.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until cranberries are softened, about 15 minutes.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a medium bowl to obtain cranberry syrup. Let the syrup cool.
- In a pitcher, combine red wine, apple cider, cranberry syrup, bourbon, cranberries, and diced apple.
- Refrigerate the sangria for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- To serve, pour the sangria over ice, filling about 3/4 full, and then top with sparkling water.
- Garnish with a fresh rosemary sprig or cinnamon stick.
