Ingredients
- 1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg (freshly grated)
- 3/4 tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Prepared Hot Coffee
- 1/2 ounce Whiskey
- 1/2 cup Full Fat Coconut Milk (from a 14-ounce can)
- 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, grate fresh nutmeg and sprinkle brown sugar to caramelize.
- Once the sugar caramelizes, add hot coffee and swirl, then slowly add the whiskey and the remainder of the hot coffee, whisk for 2 minutes.
- Chill the coconut milk and a mixing bowl in the fridge.
- Scrape the thick cream from the chilled coconut milk into the chilled mixing bowl, beat until creamy.
- Add vanilla extract and powdered sugar, continue mixing until creamy and smooth.
- Pour the hot coffee mixture into a glass and top with the coconut cream. Grate additional nutmeg on top.
