Ingredients

  • 1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg (freshly grated)
  • 3/4 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Prepared Hot Coffee
  • 1/2 ounce Whiskey
  • 1/2 cup Full Fat Coconut Milk (from a 14-ounce can)
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, grate fresh nutmeg and sprinkle brown sugar to caramelize.
  2. Once the sugar caramelizes, add hot coffee and swirl, then slowly add the whiskey and the remainder of the hot coffee, whisk for 2 minutes.
  3. Chill the coconut milk and a mixing bowl in the fridge.
  4. Scrape the thick cream from the chilled coconut milk into the chilled mixing bowl, beat until creamy.
  5. Add vanilla extract and powdered sugar, continue mixing until creamy and smooth.
  6. Pour the hot coffee mixture into a glass and top with the coconut cream. Grate additional nutmeg on top.
