Bookish Brandy Sangria
A delightful blend of fruity red wine, brandy, and fresh citrus juices sweetened with a hint of ginger ale, Book Club Sangria is a refreshing and vibrant cocktail that's perfect for social gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2.50 oz fruity red wine, such as pinot noir
- 0.50 oz brandy
- 0.50 oz fresh orange juice
- 0.50 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.50 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.50 cup ginger ale
- 0.50 cup fresh pineapple chunks
- 1 thin slice each of orange, lemon, and lime
- 1 fresh peach, pitted and sliced
Instructions
- In a small pot, bring sugar and 1/2 cup of water to a boil and cook until the sugar dissolves; remove from heat.
- Transfer the sugar syrup to a pitcher and set aside to cool to room temperature.
- Add the fruity red wine, brandy, and citrus juices to the pitcher, then cover and refrigerate.
- Just before serving, stir in the ginger ale, pineapple, citrus slices, and peaches.
- Pour into an ice-filled glass, garnish with some of the fruit, and serve immediately.
