Ingredients

  • 3/4 lime, cut into quarters
  • 2.50 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz orange liqueur
  • 1 oz light agave nectar
  • 1 oz filtered water
  • 1 oz ice cubes
  • 1 oz silver tequila, or 1 lime wedge
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • extra lime slices or wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the quartered limes in a blender.
  2. Add the tequila, orange liqueur, and agave nectar to the blender.
  3. Pulse the blender 2 to 4 times, ensuring the limes break down enough to release their juice without turning into pulp.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, discarding the pulp and lime rind.
  5. Stir in the filtered water and ice until melted.
  6. Chill the margarita pitcher until ready to serve.
  7. If desired, salt the glass rims by dipping them in tequila and then in kosher salt.
  8. Fill serving glasses with ice and pour in the margarita mix.
  9. Garnish with lime slices or wedges.
